Laura Goodman is a senior at North Carolina State University. She is double majoring in physics and applied mathematics and minoring in international studies. As an active member and chapter officer of the Society of Physics Students (SPS), she has helped organize student participation in the March for Science, the Physics Congress, and many service events. Her interest in science policy has led her to talk with leaders and diplomats around the world from the Caribbean to China in topics ranging from resource management to STEM education. Additionally, she continues to learn and develop through reading and engaging with the scientific community and participating with North Carolina organizations such as the Institute of Emerging Issues and the Institute for the Public Trust.
