EliseAnne C. Koskelo

Hello everyone, my name is Elise Koskelo. I am a sophomore physics major at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. This is my first SPS-sponsored activity and I very honored to have the opportunity to serve as a student ambassador for the SPS Congressional Visits Day. My interest in science policy stems from my belief that scientists need to interact and collaborate with policy makers in order to change the world for the better. At SPS CVD, I hope to advocate for the creation of a renewable energy industry in the United States, increasing diversity in physics for female and minority students, and funding for early career research projects in applied physics, science, and engineering.
