Throughout her undergraduate and graduate career, Brittney has been extremely involved in the Society of Physics Students organization on both the local and national level. While at Coe College, Brittney participated in SPS and held the positions of secretary, vice president, president and served on the planning committee for the 2016 Physics Congress. Brittney has also played a significant role in the 2019 Physics Congress on the Executive Planning Committee, and the upcoming 2022 Physics Congress, serving on multiple planning committees. Her contributions have been invaluable in the planning and execution of these meetings, especially within the Student Engagement and Art committees. Brittney is also currently on the moderator team for the official SPS National Discord. In this role, she assists in moderating interactions within over 50 channels where students, faculty, and other SPS members can discuss anything from academics to science policy to zone meetings. Brittney has been heavily involved in SPS for over five years and fully encompasses what it means to emulate the service pillar of SPS.
