Lewis and Clark College
2024
SPS Leadership Scholarship
As of Fall 2024, I will have begun my senior year at Lewis and Clark College as a Physics and Mathematics double major with a minor in Philosophy. My time at Lewis and Clark has been engaging, challenging, and rewarding--it will be hard to leave this experience behind! During my time here as an undergrad, I was an active member of our SPS Chapter, then became co-president of our chapter at the start of my junior year. At the same time, I took on position of AZC for our SPS Zone (yay Zone 17!). While staying involved in the physics community, both on campus and nationally, I prioritized forming more connections on campus. I was accepted into the Student Alumni Association at the end of sophomore year, which has been an incredible way to meet new people, both those that have graduated and that are still students at Lewis and Clark that I wouldn't have met outside of this amazing organization.
I began a research project at the beginning of 2024, and plan to continue my work in this lab until I graduate. After graduation, I plan to take some time between undergrad and grad school. I look forward to gaining more work experience before going back to school and research. Ultimately, I hope to have a career involved in physics with environmental applications, and would love to explore atmospheric science for this reason. I value exploration of knowledge, and am so grateful to SPS for giving me the financial support and many resources to do so!
