SPS Leadership Scholarship
I have just completed my third year as an undergraduate physics major at the University of Southern California (USC), where I am SPS Treasurer. In addition to handling the budget, I worked with our chapter president to create a Physics GRE preparation program for interested physics students.
I am done with my requirements for the physics major at USC, but will be continuing for a traditional fourth year to complete a math minor, take a few graduate physics courses, and focus on undergraduate research. Right now, I am studying fibonacci quasicrystals under one of the graduate students in USC's computational physics group. In my free time, I enjoy building simulations for physics education using Geogebra and Mathematica.
This fall, I intend to apply to PhD programs in condensed matter physics with the ultimate goal of remaining in academia and becoming a professor.
