SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am a rising senior at South Dakota State University majoring in Physics and Mathematics/Data Science. I joined SDSU SPS chapter at the beginning of my freshman year and served as chapter secretary last year. My research interest includes experimental and computational condensed matter physics and materials science. My current and previous projects investigate half-metallic / spin-gapless semiconducting magnetic materials, Heusler alloys, for their potential applications in spintronics. I’m also involved in lithium metal battery research at SDSU’s Center for Advanced Photovoltaics and Sustainable Energy, where I’m the project leader of SPS Chapter Research Award 2019-20. I intend to pursue a Ph.D in experimental condensed matter physics.
