Vanessa Chambers

Biography

I will graduate in 2018 with a Physics BS and a minor in English then continue on to a masters program in Technical Communication and Rhetoric. It is my hope to combine these two areas to help bridge the gap between science and the general public. Effective communication at a more general level of understanding not only inspires the next generation of scientists, it is key in the continued public support of scientific endeavors. Currently I am doing my senior research project studying mesospheric gravity waves over Garden City, UT with Dr. Michael Taylor. I am analyzing data to determine seasonal patterns, summer/winter effects of these waves, and how they compare to other stations monitored globally.
