SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am a physics and computer science double major at the University of Washington. I've served as Community Building officer (my own invention) of my chapter for two years. My chapter of the SPS brought me into physics and gave me a home within the department, and I've loved working to bring others into the family, through organizing and promoting ice cream socials, our zone meeting, and our trip to PhysCon, along with weekly seminars and social study breaks. I'm working on automating microscope work in UW Physics' Nanodevice Lab, as well as studying causal inference in UW CSE's Databases Lab. I'm studying abroad at the ETH in Zurich next year, and after that, I'm going to graduate school in either statistical physics or statistics-based machine learning--I have two years to decide! Outside of academics, I love biking, hooping it up at the UW gym, swing dancing, and spending time with my family.
