Phil Travis

Biography

I am from Japan, even though I do not look the part. I am going into my Junior year at UIUC (studying physics, of course). I like playing the trumpet, building things, programming, and working on other miscellaneous projects. Over the summer and throughout the next few semesters, I will be working on upgrading older simulation codes and building some new ones to use through a web interface. I am currently the vice-president of our local Society of Physics Students chapter, and I was involved in planning the zone 8 meeting in the Fall of 2014. I also work on projects with the SPS chapter for our Engineering Open House each spring.
