2015
SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am a junior at Towson University pursuing a degree in General Physics with a minor in Mathematics. As a member of SPS, I have acted as Vice President and President for Towson University's chapter where I have focused on promoting outreach activities and transitioning to a more organized club. In addition, I was recently honored with an induction into Sigma Pi Sigma. My research at Towson University has been in cosmology, astrophysics, and condensed matter. In the summer of 2014, I did research in gravitational wave detection at the Albert Einstein Institute in Hannover, Germany while in the University of Florida's international REU. In the summer of 2015, I will be doing research in particle physics in the physics division at Argonne National Lab as a Lee Teng Fellow. Outside of physics, I am an avid SCUBA diver. I volunteer as a diver at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and I founded the SCUBA diving club at Towson University.
