SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am a rising senior at the University of Wisconsin -River Falls, majoring in physics and mathematics. I am active in UWRF’s Society of Physics Students chapter and have served as Vice President, Treasurer, and am entering a second term serving on the SPS National Council as an Associate Zone Councilor to zone 9. I have tutored physics and math and now manage the Physics Study Center. My research project at UWRF focuses on sizing optically trapped aerosol droplets using Cavity Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy. Last summer, I focused on exciton-spin interactions in dilute magnetic semiconductor quantum dots through a Michigan State REU. This summer I am constructing a cold hydrogen beam in Paris through a University of Michigan iREU. I am a member of Sigma Pi Sigma, Vice President of UWRF’s Phi Kappa Phi chapter, president of SURSCA, and a McNair scholar. I plan to pursue a PhD in physics.
