Juniata College
2022
LLNL-AIP Leadership Scholarship
I am from Belgrade, Serbia, and I am approaching my junior year at Juniata College studying Engineering-Physics with a minor in Mathematics. This past year, I was an SPS and Women in Physics officer which encouraged me to actively express my opinions and lead other club members. This great opportunity helped me allocate funds that will provide attendance to PhysCon to 20 of our physics and engineering-physics students. Next year, I will be a Vice-President of SPS and a Treasurer of Women in Physics. Aside from club involvement, I really enjoy studying physics laws and how they are impacted by different environments. The Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics really helped me discover what I am interested in and how women can work in male-dominated fields. Due to that, I decided to study Civil Engineering and continue my education at Pennsylvania State University after I acquire my Bachelor of Science degree from Juniata College.
