William Jewell College
2015
Herbert Levy Memorial Scholarship
I am entering my senior year at William Jewell College majoring in physics with a minor in mathematics. After I complete my undergraduate degree I plan to go to Washington University in St. Louis Missouri for chemical engineering and hope to be very involved in their Engineers Without Borders chapter. In the Summer of 2013 I received a Pillsbury Scholars Internship where I learned how to spec and wire solar panels and then travelled to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to help install the solar panels on an aquaponics system. Since then my research has been on aquaponics and how to make the system more sustainable for developing countries. I am currently the SPS secretary, Kappa Mu Epsilon president, and Zeta Tau Alpha president.
