I am a rising Junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville majoring in Physics and Mathematics and minoring in Astronomy. With ambition and a love of coffee on my side, it is my plan to attend graduate school after I earn my bachelors degree. As of now, I am interested in pursuing either theoretical particle physics or cosmology. This summer I am set to be doing research on neutrino detection in liquid argon time projection chambers. While physics is my muse and academics my priority, encouraging diversity and inclusion in STEM is an important part of my journey into this field. Serving as the vice president of both my SPS chapter and my local Women in Physics (WiP) group has allowed me to develop, through outreach, a strong compulsion to help develop the bridge between physics and the general public. Outside of STEM, I also enjoy writing poetry, reading and educating myself on social issues, painting, hiking, and petting dogs.
