AIP Mather Policy Intern: US House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology
American Institute of Physics
My name is Nikki Sanford and I just graduated from High Point University in High Point, NC, with degrees in Physics, Math, and a minor in Chemistry. I've worked on several research projects over the past couple years, and participated in an REU program in nuclear physics at Duke University last summer. I've also been interested in the connections between science and policy. I'm excited to have the opportunity to explore that interest, and work in DC this summer as a Mather Intern in the US House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, playing guitar/drums, volleyball, snowboarding, reading, and going shopping. I'm looking forward to working on Capitol Hill, and experiencing the legislative process in action.
