Society of Physics Students

Please RSVP for the upcoming Zone 9 meeting hosted at DePaul University if you wish to attend. The SPS Zone 9 meeting will begin at 4pm on Friday February 8th and will continue through about 9pm on Friday. It will continue Saturday morning at 10am through 3pm, after which there will be an optional tour of the DePaul University Maker-Space in downtown Chicago and time to explore the city, potentially including a museum if there is interest.

Join SPS Chapters in Zone 11 for our Fall Zone Meeting.

The meeting will include a tour of Daktronics (who makes the giant video scoreboards), an educational demo-off, external speakers, a research poster session, and a graduate school fair.

If you were to walk around the Renaissance Hotel this week, you would find it filled with physicists on a mission. It was the AAPT Summer Meeting, which was (fortuitously for us) in DC! I haven’t been to an AAPT Meeting before, and what a shame I haven’t; I had so much fun.
