Ryan is finishing his second year at the University of Maryland, pursuing a double degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics, and an honors citation in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (EIP). For his EIP capstone project, Ryan is currently working with two other honors college students to create STEMerge summer camps: a STEM career-oriented summer camp for girls between the ages of 11 and 15. He is working to organize the logistics of a summer of 2020 launch, while developing a working curriculum for the kids. Ryan is also a first semester S-Stem Scholar, and is currently writing a journal article on the selection process for the Nobel Prize in the Sciences. He also works as a TA for PHYS 273: Waves during the week, and a photo booth attendant on the weekends. Ryan continuously finds a way to balance his course load, and his impact in the physics and STEM community. He is looking to continue this trend into his junior year.
