Ryan Kozlowski is currently a junior physics major at Davidson College. He has been an active member in the Davidson Chapter of the Society of Physics Students for over a year and a half and currently holds the office of Vice President of Interdisciplinary Affairs. In this role Ryan has organized a summer 2014 physics department grill-out and the twice-a-year kickball games against the chemistry department and majors. He has also helped with ping-pong ball explosion demonstrations on campus, a cub-scout night for a local den section, and a Halloween party last October. Ryan has been conducting interdisciplinary research at Davidson with Dr. Dan Boye for the past year. His research involves a novel system for volumetric radiography called Digitome that differs significantly from popular computed tomography methods. Ryan has applied for and received summer funding from Davidson College for this research. He hopes to obtain an honors thesis in his research with Dr. Boye in the coming academic year and pursue a medical physics degree after graduating from Davidson.
